About us 

Ginsmith Ltd is a family business, owned and run by husband and wife team Phil & Rebecca.

Phil has a background in engineering & sales, Rebecca has been a teacher for many years but we both share a passion for gin, we’ve often spoke producing our own gin so setting up our own company distilling our own seemed a great fit for us. During the lockdown in 2020 we set up the company, we certainly wouldn’t recommend trying to do this during a national lockdown to anyone – there were certainly many hurdles to overcome! However by December 2020 we had built a new distillation room & obtained all the necessary licences & after many months work we had perfected our first gin!  

We believe in Quality & Value, we overfill our bottles to give you more!   

Now & future plans 

We embarked on a venture with our good friends at Bee-Ginning who had been looking for someone to produce a bespoke gin for them, a beautifully balanced gin that would satisfy the most demanding gin drinker and also appeal to the novice gin drinker too. Late Dec 2020 we launched our Bee-Ginning premium gin, both Ginsmith & Bee-Ginning are delighted with the results and feedback so far has been fantastic. We hope this we be just the start of a great collaboration between us.

We have been on a steep learning curve, we’ve consulted with friends in our industry, many of whom are the very best award winning distillery’s in the world! We are extremely committed to producing a Premium gin which holds wide appeal yet is sophisticated and smooth, we are very proud of our first gin and have lots of exciting ideas for future products using everything we have learned along the way.
